[INTERVIEW] Who is Q The Question (@qthequestion)

To wrap up the 3rd installment of "Who is SKE", we interview the dude behind the magic.
Q The Question

So Q, Where did your name come from?
Well I call myself Q The question because when I went to North Carolina A&T State University, getting my journalism degree, I use to do a college radio show with my friend and at the time, I use to call myself  Q Hatfield, because my real name is Quinton Hatfield, and I didn't have a name and he said how bout you call yourself Q The question, at first I thought it was wack but then I was like, you know what I like the sound of that, and I stuck with it ever since.

What made you take journalism?
Growing up as a child- im a die hard hiphop head you know if you check out my instagram or twitter, youll see that im always in tune with the latest stuff out- ever since i was like 8, 9 years old man, and you know my senior year in high school I didnt really know what I wanted to do and then I decided that I would be a hip hop journalist. Reading about people like, Elliot wilson, you know I decided to persue a career in hip hop journalism. In college I started writing with different magazines, you know Ozone magazine, yoraps.com and interviwing various artist, living my dreams, and interviewing my favorite rappers everyday.

That's big! I wanna talk a bit about SKE, like how did you meet Trel Mack and DJ YRS JERZ ?
Well me and Trel Mack started SKE back in 2006, we were calling it Street Knowledge Entertainment, what happened was, I took a semester off college and I was working at a popular franchise in Philadelphia called Rita's water ice, and Trel Mack use to be a customer, and he would come there all the time, I was working at the cash. When i'd get off work, i'd see him working at the Library, and we kinda recognized each other from the restaurant, we told each other what we did, I was a journalist and he was an up and coming artist and we got real cool. Dj YR Jerz, I met him late last year, cause I was freelancing for a magazine and he saw the SKE brand everywhere and he found out I hosted mixtape so that magazine actually connected us together, we got real tight. Ever since we made him apart of SKE, hes done a phenomenal job.

Nice, you're also a publicist?
Yeah I started my company "Q The question promotions" a while back and artist that are serious about their careers, you know I take them to the next level. A lot of times artist don't know the importance of a publicist, being a journalist I have a lot of connections to the public and industry so its all about getting their craft out there and to the next level.

Dope! So you have the DJ's, the artist, the connects and everything. You guys are the whole package, how is 2013 looking for you guys going forward?
Let me tell you something, its gotten so crazy, we are literally doing interviews everyday. Me, Trel Mack, DJ YRS Jerz, we doing magazine, and radio interviews everyday. Its been crazy, videos, music, mixtapes everything, we just taking the brand to the next level.

Y'all gotta come to Toronto!
You already know, we coming to Toronto! And We def gonna hook you up when we out there!

[NEW AUDIO] G.I.F.T.E.D (@Gifty_GIFTED) - Recognition

"This is a dedication to our inferiority complex, to our contrasting ability to want someone and not accept them for who they are.
For all the people out there who are blind, deaf or have some sort of inability.
You should be accepted not excepted. I share this with you because some of my closest brothers and sisters deal with this every day.
They want happiness like you and me, love and friendship like you and me, the difference... they may not be exactly be like you and me.
The outcome: Loneliness, lost, confusion, frustration, isolation, abuse, depression, suicide.
Action: share this video, spread the message, and make it about happiness.
