went down
So first off, where you from?
Im from Jersey, new jersey, but im in Charlotte, trynna do music
So how is Charlotte? How are you finding it out there? More progress than in jersey?
Ya, I work a lot harder out here, 'cause in Jersey I got to many people that I know and its kind of hard to do anything and I don't really know to many people out here (Charlotte) so I just be focused
Okay, okay how old were you when you moved?
Um I was like, 15, yeah 15 when I came out here (Charlotte) and i am 19 now.
What? 19 that's crazy!
[laughs] Yeah, everybody say's that
Give me some names of some artist that you've worked with
Ive worked with Chox- Mak, that's my artist, J- paq, I work with an upcoming artist Trel Mack, im apart of his label SKE records with Q the Question
Okay, so are these all Charlotte artist or?
Nah, some of them are in Philly, Charlotte, and Jacksonville (North Carolina)
Nice, okay, so how old were you when you first started doing music?
I really started at 15, but I started taking it seriously at 17 and then it just started picking up
Crazy, what motivates you?
Well, everything. Just like watching things on TV one day I just wanna be on there, and I already know what I gotta do so...
Yeah, have you got any kind of international recognition?
Yeah, actually my first mixtape that I hosted, was with my homie French Cizzle outta Paris, France, he just produced that "Jet Li" song for Chief keef.
Okay, ill bump that. So im sure Paris is a place you;re interested in traveling to
Yeah, I did a couple projects with a couple people out in France
You gotta make a trip!
Yeah I gotta get out there soon, I already know a couple people out there.
Have you been able to say you've gotten a helping hand by anybody?
Basically, I been doing everything myself, but a couple months ago I hooked up with Q the question, that's my mentor and co-owner of SKE records, and he helped me with everything, like a few months ago, I wasn't good at interviews, if I did this interview a few months ago, it probably would have been one sentence. He helped me with artist development and everything. I wasn't really talkative until I started working with him, he told me I need to talk more.
So have you noticed since you've linked up with him, your clientele has picked up?
Yeah, a lot, like different people from different states trynna work, cause they see the grind and they see how im working.
Dope. So what's the upcoming projects? I mean I heard the Trel Mak one, but i am not going to lie, prior to that submission I haven't really much about you
Yeah we recently dropped "Beats for the trap 2" with a producer that i am managing named Lex Gunna, um you know "Jerzy's Evolution" hosted by Q the Question and then we got me and Q the Question hosting another mixtape that's called "Talented Minds" that's gonna be our series and everything and we taking submissions for that.
